I have read your Bonadurer web site with much interest. I do not know if you can yet fill in any gaps from the apparent immigration from Switzerland to the USA, but I would like to offer up what I know of our genealogy.

I am John Martin Bonadurer III, son of George Fred Bonadurer (born 1932 in Chicago).
My grandfather is John Martin Bonadurer (born ~1887, died 1938 in Chicago) and he had one sister Anastasia Bonadurer.
My grandfather John Martin, married Barbara Werner (born ~1890 in Canada, died 1957). John and Barbara had 11 children (Lena, Margaret, Barbara, Ruth, Annie, Mary Ann
(died at birth), George (my father), Peter, Phillip, Edward and John Martin II (who died in WWII, Normandy).

Based on the information so far provided, can not trace John Martin Bonadurer to any of the immigrants from Switzerland, so if you know of any link please let me know.

Also I had received a note asking about our family history about 5 years ago from Johann Bonadurer, age 82 at the time from the county of Graubunden, Switzerland (mailing address Muhle, CH-7432 Zillis). Has he been in contact with you and do you know anything of his background? 

Also there is a picture of a stained glass window with a Bonadurer crest on it. Do you know anything about the meaning of the crest, and where the window is located?

Sorry to hear about the passing of Johann. Please feel free to include our information on your Bonadurer homepage. Also do you know more about the Bonadurer crest shown on your homepage? Do you know anything regrding the meaning of the Bonadurer crest?
