Sebastian Sutter.

Not all family connections run through the Bonadurer name. Through the Sutter family from Wiesheim, we are connected to the valley by a separate branch — a story that has not yet been fully written.

Sebastian Sutter was a resident of the Wieshus in Versam and left behind a comprehensive account of his life. Through marriage, he belongs to the broader family relationships — a branch that leads to Bandur, even though he did not bear the name Bonadurer.

Wiesheim — the former Wieshus — was the central residence of the Bonadurer family in the village of Versam for many generations. The Sutters were neighbours, then in-laws, then part of the extended family.

1911: The Wiesenheim

In 1911, the family purchased the Wiesenheim for 5,600 francs. After the renovation, it became the Wiesheim, which remains connected to the family’s history as a residence to this day.

Details about the Sutter family are documented on the Sutter homepage. Anyone who knows more about the Sutter line and its connection to the Bonadurer — marriage and death dates, occupations, residences — is cordially invited to get in touch.
